May 18, 2006

We checked out from the hotel at 1100am. We then took a bus and the subway to the Boston Logan International Airport. My whole body still aches. At the airport, we were calling different car rentals companies to compare the rates for a minivan. However, all of the companies don't rent their minivans to drivers below the age of 25. Even Avis. But Yunn Hanm already made a reservation with Avis on the phone the night before and they didn't have a problem with the age, all we had to do was to pay an extra $25 per day. So we decided to just head over to Avis and give it a shot. We talked to the lady receptionist and she was all good about it. After handing her my debit card, she looked at it and said "Because you are under 25, we need to see a major credit card instead, we won't charge on the card if you return the car within the 48 hours." Dang. How now? I looked at Che Ven and she shrugged. Then I remembered that I still have my mummy's supplement credit card on me. Thank God! We got the Dodge van.

We left the airport right after and got in highway 90W. 400++ miles drive to Niagara Falls. It was a long and tiring drive. We stopped about 4-5 times for gas, restrooms and naps. At 1000pm we stopped at a place called Chittenango and took a 30 mins nap in the van. Then a little after midnight, we stopped at a service area in Ontario, NY. Pei Shan was not feeling well and we were trying to find her something soupy to fill her tummy. But all we saw were burgers, burgers and burgers. Since everyone was really tired, we rested at McDonalds. I wasn't able to nap much as it was quite chilly. I went back to the van, blasted the heat and drowned myself into Jay Chou's music.

We were only an hour away from the Niagara Falls.
